1983 Organized the photography section of the Advertising Industry Art Auction to raise research funds for the Royal Alexander Hospital for Children.
(Total amount raised: $30,000).
1984 Organized the photography section of the Advertising Industry Art Auction to raise research funds for the Royal Alexander Hospital for Children.
(Total amount raised: $54,000).
1985 Organized the photography section of the Advertising Industry Art Auction to raise research funds for the Royal Alexander Hospital for Children.
(Total amount raised: $65,000).
1986 With four residents of Union Street, formed and ran the Kiaola House Action Group, against Shaw School plans to demolish Kiola. Outcome: After a one-month campaign, during which Adams acted as media director, the house was placed on the National Register of Historic Homes and granted a Heritage Order by the Wran government. The house is now fully restored and occupied by an advertising agency.
1987 Directed and produced a TV commercial to increase public awareness of Alzheimer’s Disease.
1998 Working in a voluntary capacity, with the South Pacific Private Hospital Adams founded of the DOLPHIN GROUP a self-help organization for recovering drug users.
1999 Directed and produced a series of television commercials designed to increase public awareness of the dangers of electricity in the home. (NB: These commercials changed the laws relating to household electrical installation in some Australian states).
2004 Formed the Renaissance Action Group (RAG) to fight for the preservation and restoration of the Renaissance Centre (formerly Mount St Mary’s Convent, Katoomba). Outcome: A Heritage Preservation Order was placed on the building.
2009 Contributor to the Victorian Bushfire Auction, Katoomba
2011 ‘Zero Tolerance: The Street Artists of the Blue Mountains’ – Co-written with Jarrod Linkston Wheatley, released November 2011-10-05. All proceeds going to the Mountains Youth Services Team, Katoomba
